At the end of the day, the peer-to-peer offer will only be as excellent as the purchaser's negotiating abilities.


In theory, a personal seller's original asking rate will be lower than a car dealership's rate for the reasons itemized over. Working out a purchase price with an exclusive seller need to start at a reduced threshold than when bargaining with a supplier. This, however, isn't a customer's only advantage. By the time the purchaser and vendor reach the bargaining phase, the personal vendor has spent a lot of time in offering you a vehicle.
